The Apple CEO sent an email to employees about the events that took place in Charlottesville, Virginia, over the weekend that saw one woman killed at a white supremacist rally, reports Buzzfeed. In the email, Cook said “hate is a cancer” and that he “disagree[s] with the president and others who believe that there is a moral equivalence between white supremacists and Nazis, and those who oppose them by standing up for human rights.” Cook also announced Apple will give $1 million each to the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Anti-Defamation League.
